Firefly flight attendant uniform fashion in 2011

AS Firefly’s newest Boeing 737-800 took to the sky for the airline’s inaugural flight to Kuching and Kota Kinabalu on Jan 15, 2011, some models and staff of the airline took to the catwalk at a hotel near Subang to introduce its new range of uniforms for its cabin crew and ground staff.
Its vibrant new image is created together with batik design specialist Jendela KL. The traditional art form is included in the design theme. Firefly head of marketing and communications Angelina Fernandez says working with Jendela KL has allowed the airline to tap the country’s colourful batik heritage to reflect its personality as “Your Community Airline”. “We have chosen materials that are durable for heavy-duty wear yet ensure comfort and flexibility for our personnel to go about their duties. The final result is that our women exude femininity while the men look sharp.”
